Jérémie Labbé

Autoportrait Noir et Blanc.jpg

After 20 years working in the international humanitarian aid sector, Jérémie became an independent photographer in 2024, devoting himself fully to a passion that has driven him for a long time.

He favors a more documentary and humanist photographic practice, influenced by great photographers such as Henry Cartier-Bresson, Sebastiao Salgado, Steve McCurry and Ara Güler, “the eye of Istanbul”.

Like these masters, Jérémie practices everyday photography - often referred to today as "street photography" - giving a large place to humans in their geographical, social and cultural environment.

Jérémie photographs in both color and black and white. Faithful to this documentary approach, he strives never to alter his photos beyond the reality of the shooting, limiting his retouching to work on contrasts, colors and light.

A French national, Jérémie has resided in Istanbul since September 2024.
