Ludivine Forest

Ludivine Forest has been working with clay since she was fifteen. Initially self-taught, she joined a ceramics workshop where she created her first sculptures, mainly female bodies, exploring strength and fragility.

Alongside her work in the social and psychiatric fields, she trained as a potter, which enabled her to develop a detailed technical understanding of the material.

The different places she has lived, the cultures she has encountered and her professional career have all nourished her artistic approach.

Each of her works tells a story and carries a strong metaphorical dimension. Resilience is expressed both in the process and in the final form.

Ludivine Forest is currently working on the pomegranate, a fruit with strong symbolism. She engraves patterns and/or adds relief, such as spikes that would protect the symbols represented by the pomegranate from attack. Each piece invites the viewer to feel and reflect, creating a dialogue between the material, the artist's gesture and the space around it.
