Nemika Yeşim Akdoğan

She was born in Istanbul. After graduating from Istanbul University Faculty of Communication in 1992, she worked as a journalist, editor and director in the media. In addition to journalism, since 2003 she has been training in painting and sculpture with different artists.

 

She participated in her first group exhibition at the Kuzguncuk Harmoni Art Gallery in 2004 with her mirrored jewelry designs. The objects she produced during this period met domestic and foreign brands.

Today, Akdoğan, who mainly works in watercolor, has organized solo exhibitions titled “A Breath of Flower” in 2022, “Traces of Pure Nature” and “Blue Hours” in 2024.
