Emrah Oprukcu started taking photos about 16 years ago. He met with news photography at the Gezi Park protests, the wave of demonstrations which started in Turkey on 28 May 2013.

He has been working as a freelance photojournalist since then. He works with international news agencies. and he is published in international newspapers and magazines such as the Guardian, Paris Match, Washington post and Le monde.

As a photojournalist, he continues to work on daily life, social events, politics, refugees and documentary photography projects around the world and in Turkey.
